Dutch-born Ghanaian youngster Jayden Addai scored in Jong AZ Alkmaar’s 2-2 draw with Willem II at the AFAS Training Complex on Monday evening.

Willem II immediately struck twice in a row in the opening phase. After seven minutes Elton Kabangu had put the guests ahead and thirteen minutes later the ball hit the spot. Jizz Hornkamp made no mistake and shot the ball from eleven meters past Daniël Deen.

Young AZ quickly came back into the game in the second half. Substitute Jurre van Aken shot the ball wonderfully into the intersection from a distance. Willem II then went on the hunt for a third goal, but a volley from Lucas Woudenberg disappeared over.

In the absolute final phase of the game, Jong AZ got their equalizer. Jayden Addai picked up the ball outside the penalty area and shot it into the net. This was the attacker’s first goal in professional football.
