Cypriot outfit, AEK Larnaca FC are set to complete the signing of Ghanaian striker Malik Abubakari.
The club will in the next 48 hours wrap up a deal that will see the side sign the talented youngster on loan until the end of the 2022/23 football season.
In an official club statement on Wednesday, January 25, AEK Larnaca FC said it has reached an agreement in principle with Malmo FF for the signing of the Ghanaian international.
“Kition Sports Union (AEK) Larnaca announces the agreement in principle with Malmoe FF for the acquisition of the 22-year-old (02/10/2000) Ghanaian striker Abdul Malik Abubakari, on loan until the end of the season,” the club statement from the Cypriot club said.
It added, “The footballer is expected in Cyprus in the next 24 hours for the conclusion of the agreement.”
The loan move is expected to give Malik Abubakari more playing time, something that has been hard to come by at Malmo.
In the past, the Ghanaian striker has played for other clubs including Casa Pia and HJK Helsinki.
